The Red Pavilion
Styled as a ‘Neo Noir Asian Cabaret,’ The Red Pavilion venue provides the perfect backdrop for this event. With its dim lighting, sensual decor, and an atmosphere thick with anticipation, it feels as if one has stepped into a Lynchian fever dream.
Each event features Laura and five other readers, a diverse group of local poets, sex workers, and storytellers. They take to the stage to share confessional and often steamy stories drawn from their own lives. These narratives are accompanied by deep and hypnotic binaural beats, enhancing the visceral experience for the audience.
In addition to original works, Laura occasionally reads from famous erotic literature, with authors such as JG Ballard, Kathy Acker, Feminista Jones, DM Thomas, Anne Rice, and Anais Nin making appearances in the lineup. This offers attendees a historical perspective on erotica and its evolving themes through the ages.

Laura aspires to lead a societal shift against the censorship of sexual content, including literature and banned books in America. Her mission is to inspire individuals to explore their erotic selves, believing that this exploration leads to a deeper connection with oneself.
